Why It Matters
Many of these children experience repeated transitions and uncertainty, without the consistency every child deserves.
This is happening here.
Not somewhere else. Not someday.
Right now.
Our Calling
We believe this work is not by chance—it’s a calling.
Caring for children in crisis reflects the heart of our faith: to serve with compassion, protect the vulnerable, and show up where it matters most.
Every home we create and every child we serve is rooted in that purpose.
Why We Exist
Right here in the Treasure Valley, children are facing abuse, neglect, and instability every single day.
Behind every number is a child—one who needs safety, consistency, and someone who truly cares. A child who deserves more than just getting by.
They deserve a home.
This is why Treasured Home exists.
The Need Is Real
📌 In 2022, Idaho received over 17,000 reports of child abuse or neglect, with roughly 4,500 children substantiated as victims.
📌 In 2023, nearly 2,000 children were in foster care across Idaho—each in need of stability and care.
📌 Today, over 1,000 children are in foster care right here in the Treasure Valley, and that number continues to rise.
📌 Many children spend 18–24 months in foster care, highlighting the urgent need for consistent, nurturing homes.
💛 The need is undeniable.
Our Response
At Treasured Home, we step into that gap.
We are committed to creating safe, nurturing, Christ-centered homes where children can heal, rebuild trust, and experience what it means to be truly known and valued.
This is more than providing shelter—
it’s restoring dignity, building stability, and offering hope for a stronger future.
